Savory Chicken Skewers
Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of dry garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ketchup
- 600 g of chicken breast
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- Vegetable oil for grilling
Preparation Method:
- Cut the chicken breast into even, bite-sized pieces.
- Dice the onion and bell pepper into pieces not much larger than the chicken pieces.
- In a bowl, create a marinade by combining the sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and ketchup. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent them from burning during the cooking process.
- Thread the marinated chicken, onion, and bell pepper pieces alternately onto the skewers.
- Preheat your grill or pan to medium heat and lightly oil the grates or surface.
- Cook the skewers for approximately 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and a nice char on all sides.
Serving: Serve the chicken skewers hot, garnished with fresh herbs or alongside a fresh salad or your choice of side dish. Enjoy your savory and flavorful meal!
