Mushroom and Cheese Puff Pastry Pie

  • Puff pastry dough – 250 g
  • Mushrooms – 200 g
  • Onion – 1, medium-sized
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Processed cheese – 100 g
  • Spices – to taste
  • Egg for brushing the pastry
  1. Start by frying the mushrooms with the onion. Slice the onion and mushrooms, then sauté them in a pan with vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the processed cheese and spices to taste, and mix well.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry dough and create small borders around the edges. Spread the prepared filling onto the pastry.
  3. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg to give the pie a glossy finish.
  4. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).
  5. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 10 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  6. The finished pie is exquisitely aromatic and delightfully filling, perfect for breakfast or a light lunch.
