- A handful of chopped cilantro (coriander)
- A handful of chopped green onions
- 14 g (1 tablespoon) of minced garlic
- 12 g (1.5 tablespoons) of soy sauce
- 21 g (1.5 tablespoons) of oyster sauce
- 4 g (0.4 tablespoons) of sugar
- 5 g (0.7 tablespoons) of chili powder
- 3 g (1 teaspoon) of curry powder
- 24 g (3 tablespoons) of lime juice
- 35 g (3.5 tablespoons) of avocado oil (vegetable oil can be substituted)
Cooking Tips:
- You can substitute the dried wheat noodles with udon, fettuccine, or similar types of noodles.
- If cilantro isn’t to your liking, you can replace it with basil leaves or celery leaves.
Preparation Method:
- Cook the dried wheat noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the avocado oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the oil and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, chili powder, and curry powder to the pan and stir to combine, creating a rich sauce.
- Toss the cooked noodles in the sauce, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Add the lime juice and mix well, heating through to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from the heat and toss with the chopped cilantro and green onions.
Serving: Serve the noodles warm, garnished with more fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your homemade Asian-style spicy noodles that boast a complex flavor profile with a bright, citrusy finish.
