Delicious Cottage Cheese Mannik
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of cottage cheese (preferably smooth or finely crumbled)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of semolina
- 100 ml of sour cream
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar
- 100-150 grams of berries (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). Grease a 22 cm diameter baking dish with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg yolks, sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the semolina mixed with baking powder to the cottage cheese mixture, stirring until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown and set.
- Allow the mannk to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with berry sauce, custard, jam, condensed milk, or your favorite topping.
- Mannik is best enjoyed warm, allowing it to absorb the sauce for extra flavor. This recipe can also be prepared in a multicooker; set the Baking mode for 1 hour.
