Creamy Spicy Ramen Pasta

  • 1 packet of Jin Jjamppong Ramen (or any spicy Korean ramen)
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml water
  • ¼ onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 strip of bacon, cut into 2 cm pieces (optional)
  • 5 shrimps, peeled and deveined (optional)
  1. In a frying pan, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the bacon and garlic, and fry until the bacon is slightly crispy and the garlic is golden.
  3. Add the sliced onions and shrimp, and continue to fry until the onions are translucent and the shrimp turns pink.
  4. Pour in the milk and water, and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Once boiling, add the ramen noodles along with one-third of the seasoning packet and any included liquid sauce. If the ramen doesn’t come with liquid sauce, use the seasoning powder.
  6. Cook according to the ramen package instructions, usually for about 3-5 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked and the broth has thickened slightly.
  7. Before turning off the heat, stir in 2-3 drops of the included oil sauce for added richness and flavor.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Serve the creamy spicy ramen hot, garnishing with a sprinkle of herbs like parsley or green onions for a fresh contrast to the creamy, spicy sauce.
  • If you’re adding bacon and shrimp, this dish becomes a hearty meal that combines the comforting textures of creamy pasta with the familiar flavors of instant ramen.
